The tick Ixodes ricicnus in our country and throughout Europe transmits a large number of potential pathogens causing insidious diseases transmissible to humans. In addition to Lyme disease and Tick-borne encephalitis, there is also a lesser-known human granulocyte anaplasmosis called ehrlichiosis.

We offer comprehensive diagnostics of infections transmitted by ticks.

The determination of specific antibodies against Tick-borne encephalitis virus (TBEV) antigens and antigens of human pathogenic borrelia strains is one of the tools used in the differential diagnosis of neuroinfections. The detection of these infections is based on the detection of specific IgM and IgG immunoglobulins by ELISA and LIA. Monitoring the dynamics of specific antibodies is very important for successful treatment.

Current diagnosis of Lyme borreliosis and Tick-borne encephalitis

For the simultaneous detection of both infectious agents, we present the LIA-VIDITEST Multiplex Borrelia and TBEV kits, which provide the uniqueness of two tests in one. They are intended for qualitative detection of specific IgG / IgM antibodies against TBEV antigens and at the same time against antigens of Borrelia afzelii, garinii and burgdorferi sensu stricto. These confirmatory tests are intended to confirm the results of ELISA tests in serological diagnosis.

Diagnosis of Lyme borreliosis

We provide our immunoenzymatic kits ELISA-VIDITEST and MONO-VIDITEST and enzymatic immuno-blot kits LIA-VIDITEST for the detection of specific antibodies of IgG and IgM isotypes against Borrelia antigens (B. afzelii, B. garinii and B. burgdorferi sensu stricto, but also B.spielmanii) in serum / plasma / cerebrospinal fluid / synovial fluid. The ELISA-VIDITEST and MONO-VIDITEST CSF kits can be used to calculate the intrathecal synthesis of specific antibodies in cerebrospinal fluid.

Diagnosis of Tick-borne encephalitis

We offer our immunoenzymatic kits ELISA-VIDITEST and MONO-VIDITEST for the detection of specific IgG and IgM isotype antibodies against TBEV antigens in serum / plasma / cerebrospinal fluid and for the monitoring the antibody response after TBEV vaccination. The ELISA-VIDITEST and MONO-VIDITEST anti-TBEV IgG (CSF) kits can be used to calculate the intrathecal synthesis of specific antibodies in cerebrospinal fluid.

Diagnosis of human granulocytic anaplasmosis

We offer LIA-VIDITEST anti-Borrelia for the detection of specific antibodies of IgG and IgM isotypes against the p44 antigen of the bacterium Anaplasma phagocytophilum (formerly called Ehrlichia phagocytophila) in serum / plasma / cerebrospinal fluid.

ELISA-VIDITEST uses 96-well microtiter plates, while MONO-VIDITEST cassette format. All testing and evaluation takes place automatically in combination with our VIDIMAT analyzer. LIA-VIDITEST uses specific recombinant antigens in precisely defined positions on nitrocellulose strips. The testing process can be performed on RoboBlot, BeeBlot and B-20 devices. We provide VidiScan software for automatic evaluation of results.
